The coolest place around is Austin Texas. Its probably one of my favorite cities to hang out in. The average age is twenty five. There are several top national colleges located in Austin. This combined with many thriving high tech industries, draw a distinctly large young and educated population.
With so many young people what do you do. Well you go to 6th street. Yes 6th street downtown near the capital complex. Why 6th street! Because every Friday and Saturday night they close off twenty three blocks of 6th street and party down. There’s something for everybody and any adult age category. New Orleans got nothing on 6th street, I promise. Just imagine yourself in heaven where the most beautiful people in the world are, and you’d be there. Also the absolute baddest clubs and restaurants in the country all crammed into a place where a hundred thousand young people are having fun.

The official NBL website now has the brochure, NBL, SKIL schedules and all the Super Grand information available, they are requesting you notify them by email or with a phone call, so that a brochure can get mailed out to you. They also have it all online, so those who can’t wait can hit “print”.
The official Super Grand brochures will be mailed out shortly, however if you attended the Golden Gate Nationals they were available there. I will keep everyone up to date, as soon as I know I will get it posted for everyone else.

The thirtieth annual Battle of Texas was held in Galveston Texas March 1st . The new San Luis Galveston Convention Center was the venue for this years event. Jessie Benavidez was the producer of the tournament and his daughter Cindy Benavidez was the co producer. Cindy was one of the best Texas women’s fighters in the past. Before she retired she had fought and defeated many of the top champions in the country. I was amazed at the extent of her career . World kickboxing champion Ishmael Robles was her trainer and coach. During her competition days she was able to defeat some of the best female fighters in the world.
